Water supply and links

Tanks

Fire trucks carry a water tank that drains as you spray, shown on the NUI gauge. Hydrants are unlimited.

Tank size is per truck (Capacity), and WaterSupplyRate controls how fast spraying drains it.

Refilling from a hydrant

Pick up a hydrant hose, walk to a truck, and press the InteractionKey2 (G) — or choose Attach Hose with target. A truck linked to a hydrant refills to full.

Sharing truck to truck

Take a hose from a truck with CanAttachToOthers = true, walk to another truck and press G. Their tanks merge, so a full engine can feed a dry one. Any combination of truck-to-truck and hydrant-to-truck links works.

To detach, stand at the truck without holding a hose and press G (or choose Dettach Hose).

Supply-only tankers

Give a truck an empty Weapons = {} table and it can only feed other trucks — it will never offer a hand hose.

The driveable cannon

A truck being driven can fire its own built-in water cannon, and it draws from the same tank. Empty the tank and the cannon stops working until the truck is refilled. This is auto-detected — there is nothing to configure.

The cannon also reports where its water lands, so it can knock down flames that hold no native fire.

Sounds

A looping pump-engine sound plays at a truck while it is actively pumping water out — either it is supplying another truck, or a player has a hand hose on it. A truck linked only to a hydrant makes no sound, and neither does the vehicle cannon.
